Stands with all kinds of chocolate throughout the streets and squares of the historic centre
All sweet-tooths take note. Returning to the city for the 11th year, the Art & Ciocc tour brings the creations and specialties of the most important artisan chocolatiers all throughout the town.
From 21st to 25th November, the tour will stop in Padua, during which time the historic centre will undergo a sweet “invasion” of stalls where all kinds of chocolate can be found, offered by exhibitors from various regions (especially Veneto, Piedmont, Lombardy, Tuscany, Umbria, Calabria and Sicily). The event is organised by Mark. Co. & Co. under the patronage of the Municipality of Padua and Confcommercio Padova.
Stroll along Via Santa Lucia, Piazza Garibaldi, Via Cavour, Via VIII Febbraio and Via Oberdan, admiring the creations of the master chocolatiers and choosing from the regional specialties and grand classics: pralines, bars, creams, spreads, liqueurs, crunchy truffles, chocolates to suit all tastes (even beer-flavoured!), also being perfect as gifts to put under the tree. In addition to traditional products, there will be no lack of alternatives for those with special needs or a particular diet – space is also dedicated to sweets and chocolate that are gluten-free, organic, vegan and sugar-free, without forgetting the prestigious raw chocolate, with its anti-ageing properties. The chocolate artisan creations are not only good to eat, but also beautiful to look at, with chocolate sculptures in various forms, being real works of art to admire at the stalls!
Year after year, Art & Ciocc transforms to offer interesting innovations. This year, in particular, Padova will also host the stand of a chocolatier who is part of the Consorzio di Tutela del Cioccolato Modicano IGP (the Consortium for the Protection of Modica Chocolate PGI), with a prized chocolate distinguished by its high percentage of single-source cocoa and by the processing typical of cold cocoa paste, being simple and historic (dating back to the 18th century).
Another significant innovation is the collaboration with Team for Children ONLUS, an association that has long been responsible for supporting the children at the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology ward of Padua and their families, with a stand in Piazza Garibaldi from which you can buy chocolate offered by the chocolatiers and many other gift ideas so you can make a contribution to the not-for-profit organisation.
As per the previous years, given the great success of the past editions, the appointments with the Chocolate Lessons by the Perugian master Fausto Ercolani are back! The lessons will be held in his CIOKOFABBRICA on Via Oberdan and will be dedicated to both adults and children, with tastings, games, experiments and stories on the topic!
The stands will be open at the following times:
Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Friday from 9:00 am to midnight
Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm
Sunday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
