Visit the places imbued with the Christmas spirit aboard the miniature train
At Christmastime in Padua, there are so many things to see and do that after wandering around the piazzas and streets of the city, you could start to feel a little tired! Not to worry – you can travel around all the Christmassy sites of Padua on the special World Appeal train that will roam around the city centre from 22nd November to 6th January.
Climb aboard and let yourself be transported throughout the symbolic sites of Padua, from Prato della Valle to the Eremitani, admiring the city adorned for the celebrations. The train’s point of departure and terminus will be Piazza Cavour (alongside Pedrocchi, where Via Oberdan set outs), and along the circular path stopping in some of the main piazzas of the city (Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Eremitani on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays midweek; Prato della Valle, Piazza del Santo and Piazza Eremitani from Monday to Friday, on 24th December and 1st January).
The specific times of the trips are (on Christmas day the service will be suspended):
– from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm from Monday to Friday, on the 8th and 24th December and 1st January.
– from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and midweek public holidays.
Adults and children can all climb aboard the train! Tickets cost €2 (€1 for children up to 3 years).
